Scrumptious Hummus
with our little apprentice ... Miss E.

1 to 2 garlic cloves
1 400g can chickpeas, rinsed and drained
juice of 1/2 lemon (about 2 Tablespoons)
1/4 cup tahini
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon ground cummin
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon salt
dash of cayenne pepper (optional)
several generous grindings of pepper (optional)
1. Finely chop garlic using a food processor.
2. Rinse and drain the chickpeas. Add the chickpeas to the food processor, along with the remaining ingredients. Process until the mixture forms a thick paste.
3. With the blade running , drizzle water into the food processor, 1 Tablespoon at a time, until the mixture reaches the desired consistency.
